IIT Bombay E-Summit '08 to focus on entrepreneurial ecosystem

Noticing the emerging Entrepreneurial ecosystem in India, Entrepreneurship Cell of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is hosting its Entrepreneurship Summit on February 10, 2008.
The summit will hold the discussions focused on the theme 'Changing entrepreneurial ecosystem in India'.
The summit will comprises of panel discussions, venture capitalists pitch and Eureka, the business plan competition and mentoring sessions.
Some of the eminent speakers who will be part of the discussion will include Vinnie Vya, CEO Crossover Advisers; Vani Kola, NEA-Indo US Ventures, Mahesh Murthy Managing Partner of Seedfund; Hrush Bhatt, Founder & Director, Product and Strategy, Cleartrip; Ashish Gupta, Managing Director & Investment Advisor of Helion Ventures; Shravan Shroff, Managing Director Shringar Cinemas and V.S.S. Mani, Founder & Managing Director, Just Dial Yellow Pages and more.
Sharing the information with MBAUniverse.com, IIT Bombay says, "The panel discussion series aims to discuss the rapid change that the Indian entrepreneurial scene has undergone in the new millennium and also to identify the factors that have contributed to this change and what needs to be done to sustain and accelerate it."
The summit will hold the discussion on issues including 'Emerging Entrepreneurial ecosystem in India', 'Scaling up', 'How to adapt your business model in a changing business environment', 'Art of Starting up: when and how?' and 'Identification of business opportunities in the changing India'.
"The series intends to show that today is the best time for an Indian entrepreneur to start or scale-up his venture by showcasing the opportunities and framework of support system existing for him," said, media representative at IIT Bombay.
Talking about VC pitch sessions, IIT Bombay says, "It is a opportunity for the "Early-stage enterprises" to reach out to the Venture Capitalists, other investor communities and entrepreneurs who could be interested in helping you take your idea forward." Entries are invited in categories including IT, ITES, Mobile and Internet applications, Emerging technologies and new frontiers, Banking and Financial services and New Media and Entertainment.
